24 Hour Fight Against Cancer at Narellan Town Centre
What is the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer about?
The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer is a not-for-profit initiative founded by the late Fred Borg OAM that is dedicated to raising funds to support Cancer patients in the Macarthur region. The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer is completely supported by volunteers meaning all funds donated toward the fight go toward supporting those fighting cancer in Macarthur.
Raising funds for the 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer at Narellan Town Centre
On the 25th and 26th of September, we endeavoured to raise additional funds toward the fight in 2018. We were at the Town Centre from 8:30 am – 9:30 pm on Thursday, and 8:30 am – 5:30 pm on Friday. The fantastic teams at Fitzpatrick Group, Coutts Solicitors & Conveyancers, and McLaren Real Estate donated their time to help man the stall, selling raffle tickets and raising funds during and after work hours.
Why is this so important to us?
The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer holds a special place in the heart of the Fitzpatrick Group team. Almost everyone has had cancer affect their lives in some way, whether it be a diagnosis of a friend, loved one, or even a personal battle with the disease yourself – everyone’s lives have been touched by cancer. The 24 Hour Fight is all about supporting locals in the Macarthur region who are fighting cancer – one of the main reasons we support this amazing cause.
Another reason why we love supporting the fight: It’s all supported by Unpaid Volunteers.
The 24 Hour Fight Against Cancer takes whatever you donate, and uses all of it to support Campbelltown Hospital, the Campbelltown Cancer Therapy Centre, Camden Hospital and more in the Macarthur region. In 2017 alone the fight raised $317,000 and donated over $200,000 of those total raised funds back to Campbelltown Hospital, the Campbelltown Cancer Therapy Centre, and Camden Hospital.
